Welcome New Patients Covered By The Canadian Dental Care Plan
The Canadian Dental Care Plan(CDCP) is sponsored by the Canadian government and is available to qualified residents. For residents of Canada without dental benefits and with annual household incomes under $90,000, the program will pay the cost of dental care. With pride, our clinic is one of the dental providers of the CDCP plan and will begin treating patients as early as May 2024.
Who is covered?
- Not have access to dental insurance
- Have an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000
- Be a Canadian resident for tax purposes and have filed your tax return in the previous year
Application Schedule
2024 May – Seniors aged 65 and above
2024 June – Adults with a valid Disability Tax Credit Certificate
2025 – All remaining eligible Canadian Residents

What treatment is covered?
The following are the services we offer that are covered by the CDCP plan:
- Exam
Complete exam, Specific exam, Recall exam, radiographs
- Preventative/Periodontal
Scaling, Polish, Fluoride, Desensitization, Sealant
- Basic Treatments
Restoration, Caries Control, Endodontic services, Extraction
- Major Restorative
Core, Crown, Denture (Preauthorization is required for most major restorative treatments)
*Implant is not covered
* Orthodontics will be available starting in 2025. These services will only be covered in cases of medical need based on strict criteria. There will be a maximum spending limit for them.

Do I need to pay for the visit?
Patients will be required to make a co-payment depending on their adjusted family net income. Detail can be found online or consult us at 64-352-1888

In addition to the potential CDCP co-payment, you will have to pay the portion of regular dental fees that aren’t covered by the CDCP fee.
When can I see the dentist?
Dental care under the CDCP began May 2024. The coverage start date will be different for each person. You will receive an insurance card with the insurance active date once you have finished registering. You can schedule appointments once your coverage is active.
